Martin Evans is our Director. He started the company in 2001 having spent 16 years designing buildings and diagnosing the causes of many different building problems. Originally from Lancashire, Martin graduated from Cambridge University back in 1985 with a degree in Engineering and then moved to Sheffield. He qualified as a Chartered Structural Engineer in 1991. Martin obtained his MBA from Sheffield Business School in 1996. He has worked for several highly regarded consultancy firms, including Eastwood & Partners, Andrew Russell Associates and Cunningham Lindsey.

Running the business does keep him extremely busy but there is some leisure time and he does have grown up family. He is worryingly obsessive about weepy musicals - odd for somebody who can otherwise be found capsized with his Laser on Damflask, inching his bike up Windy Bank or fell running around the hills of Derbyshire with his whippets in hot pursuit. 

Simon Payne gained his Master of Engineering Degree from the University of Sheffield in 1994. Since then he has gained a large amount of experience working with large and small consultancies throughout Yorkshire on a wide variety of projects, from bespoke domestic projects to multi-million pound commercial developments.

Cathy Owen is our office manager, who has been with us since 2006. She is a trained CAD technician with a background in technical illustration. Cathy multi-tasks to ensure that our office runs smoothly. Cathy splits her weekends between walking in Derbyshire and spending time with her family.

Nigel Westerman runs the engine room. He is a CAD technician who joined in 2010. When he is not training or playing rugby he is working hard towards gaining further qualifications at college.
